WiiKey Fusion Modchip For Nintendo Wii
The Wiikey Team is pleased to announce Wiikey Fusion, a revolutionary new modchip with SD memory card capabilities. It is the first and unique modchip currently which can use in D3-2 Drives in Wii Console through SD memory card to boot and load games. Thus, you can play backups of your original games off from SD memory card with WiiKey Fusion.

The WiiKey Fusion is the latest modchip from team WiiKey currently. It was mainly conceived for people that have the very latest D3-2 drives which started showing up in brand new consoles Sep, 09 and currently there is no way to play a backup disk with or original games from other regions on these drives. The WiiKey Fusion uses SD memory cards to load the games from, so if you have a D3-2 drive, the WiiKey Fusion will let you play backups of your original games off a SD memory card that games from either your consoles region or out of your consoles region.

Currently this is the only way to play a backup game on these latest D3-2 drives, the other solution would be to replace the DVD drive with something like a D2C drive so you could use a modchip like the Solderless WiiKey 2 or even DriveKey if you wanted too. This would allow you to play backup disks on your console that came with a D3-2 drive. Currently swapping the DVD drive is the only solution to be able to play a backup disk on a console that shipped with a D3-2 drive.

Moreover, WiiKey Fusion is also compatible will all other Wii drives, and on all other drives except the new D3-2 that the WiiKey Fusion will allow you to play backups of your original games on DVD discs and originals from other regions on DVD discs. Furthermore, you would have the option of using the SD memory card support which is not offered on modchips like DriveKey so if you are the owner of an older drive DMS to D3 and like the idea of SD memory card support, you might want to look at the WiiKey Fusion as opposed to modchips like DriveKey. However, if you really don't think you will use the SD memory card function and you just want to be able to use DVD discs to play your games, you would be better off to use the DriveKey and save a little money.

One of the good things about using SD memory cards to load your games from is that they will have the full 6x read speed, also you won't have any of the issues which come with using DVD media, such as bad burns, having to use a certain type of disk and other issues that can come with using DVD media to play your backups. The other good thing about using SD memory cards is that they can never be scratched like DVD's can. The only downside of using SD memory cards is the cost of them compared to DVD media. However, since there is no way to boot a backup DVD game discs on a D3-2 drive, it has to be done through either SD memory cards or USB HDDs which will load the games on these drives, or swap the drive out. The WiiKey team decided not to add USB HDD support as the price of the chip would go up a lot and they wanted to keep the price as low as possible. Actually, there is USB HDD chips solution coming, one is from D2Sun team & another called Wode, but the price maybe as much as twice the WiiKey Fusion modchip. Thus, WiiKey team choose the SD memory cards solution to instead.

Unfortunately, WiiKey Fusion modchip does not allow you to make backups of your original games onto the SD memory cards. A 3^rd party developer might make a software add-on to make this possible but WiiKey team are not providing this function on the chip itself. You could use the USB Gecko, SD Gecko or an LG 8164D DVD Rom drive to make legitimate backups of your original games, for use on DVD discs for DMS to D3 drives and from an SD memory card for D3-2 drives. Once again WiiKey team have come up with a working solution for a new drive type and at the same time added a useful feature that people with old drives can use it as well, got a D3-2 drive & loading from SD memory cards sounds good to you, buy the Wii WiiKey Fusion modchip here today.

To ensure that WiiKey Fusion is 100% solderless, it comes with a SD card slot that you can use (you can route it to be an external slot hanging out the back of your Wii Console). If you have a soldering tools, you will need to solder just 2 wires from the WiiKey Fusion to the original SD Memory Card slot on the Wii Console if you would like to use the Wii's own SD Memory Card slot.

The WiiKey Fusion modchip also comes bundled with a standard SD memory card reader for you to use with it.
